This is Lexi's great great grandma Alice Jordan. Grandma Caryl's Grandmother.
Our trips over to Colton usually included a visit to Grandma Jordan in Lewiston, and she would often lament that she would probably die before she got to see Lexi's next big developmental milestone.
"I'll probably die before I get to see that baby crawl."
"I'll probably die before I get to see that baby walk."
"I'll probably die before I get to hear that baby talk."
And don't mistake that for her being all "Woe is me!" Oh no. That had "Get your butts over here to visit more often!" written all over it. Thankfully, Lexi got to show off her aforementioned skills before Grandma Jordan passed away last Fall. As I fumbled and bumbled through those awkward first months of new motherhood, Grandma Jordan told me on more than one occasion, that I was a good mother. She was the first person to ever tell me that. That will always be my fondest memory of her.
Today would have been her 98th Birthday----so Happy Birthday Grandma Jordan! Your family loves and misses you dearly.

Thank You so much Kari for posting this tribute to Grandma Jordan. She was always so happy when all of you were over and she could see what Lexi was doing and hold her. This really means a lot to Sue and I. Love, Mom K
